He brings with him a charming, but dumb ex-chorus girl whose lack of social graces embarrasses even him. An idealistic reporter, Paul Verrall, agrees to teach Billie some of the amenities and a few basic bits of information. She learns much more than Brock had intended!

On January 25, 2008 at 10:00AM!
This event will be held at the hippo exhibit at the Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park.
Admission to the park is required. Admission cost is $9 for adults, and $5 for children (3-12).
Each year Lu's birthday is celebrated on a date near or on January 25th. Park Rangers present the hippo with a special birthday cake while visitors, staff and local school chidlren sing "Happy Birthday" to this popular park resident. School children enjoy a birthday treat.

-Experience ancient Indian Mounds in a whole new light!-
Friday, January 25th at 10 P.M.
The Friday evening tours will be held at the Crystal River Archeological State Park Museum Pt. off State Park St., US Hwy 19 N Crystal River
If any Friday tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, it will be held the following evening.
Admission donations will be accepted by the Friends of Crystal River State Parks, Inc.
"Moons Over the Mounds" are held on Friday nights during the winter when there is a full moon. All trails are paved, and well marked. Refreshments will be provided. For more information call: (352)795-3817

3/22/2008 Easter Egg Hunt at Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park March 22nd at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park - 2.7 miles NE - 4150 S Suncoast Blvd, Homosassa. A donation of $5.00 for children includes admission to park. Adults receive a 33% discount on park admission.
Activities include an Easter Egg hunt for plastic Easter Eggs, which can then be redeemed for goodies, trinkets and savings bonds. Parents can have their children's photos taken with the Easter Bunny.

9/13/2008 Homosassa River Raft Race WXCV FM (Citrus 95) is honored to announce the 25th Annual Citrus 95 Raft Race and Family Fun Day
Location: Homosassa Riverside Resort and The SHED at MacRae's on the Homosassa River.
For 25 years, the raft race has been a Nature Coast tradition. We are joining together with business and charitable organizations to make the 26th Annual Raft Race an event to remember. Raft Race Day will be in Homosassa on September 13th at MacRae's and Riverside Resort. There will be two races: one for completely man-made vessels and the other for mechanically propelled. The roads will be lined with vendors of all types, contributing to the fun atmosphere. There will be a kid zone with rides and attractions as well as face painting. Live music will follow the race before the winners are announced and trophies awarded
